Accessibility
I want everyone to be able to use this site, including people with disabilities. I build websites for small businesses, and making them usable for everyone is part of doing the job right.
The standard I aim for
This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
What's in place
- Clear heading structure and semantic HTML
- Full keyboard navigation, plus a skip to content link
- Visible focus states on links and buttons
- Color contrast that meets WCAG AA
- Alt text on meaningful images
- Labeled form fields and navigation
- Reduced motion for people who have it turned on in their device settings
- Layouts that hold up on any screen size and when zoomed in
Known gaps
Some third-party tools on the site, like the scheduling calendar and secure checkout, may not fully meet these standards. I'm keeping an eye on them and will swap or fix things when I can.
Run into a problem?
